[livejournal.com profile] the_monkey_king seeks an artist with steampunk chops for illustrations for Kobold Quarterly. Any suggestions for him?

[livejournal.com profile] jaylake put me onto the question pondered by astronomers: How will we name all those exoplanets? My ideas: Base the names on planets named in science fiction novels, Star Trek, and classic science fiction films.

If they name planets the way that biochemists name proteins and genes, they'll be whimsical: Like GunfA (gene of unknown function A).

I imagine names like BBP (Big, blue planet): pronounced 'Bebop.'

Or Frk (first known in brand new solar system: pronounced 'Frank Burns.'

Well, I would suggest Cheyenne Wright. He's an excellent artist with impeccable steampunk chops.

He's busy, but might be tempted. Dunno.
