Plans change

scarlettinaGot word earlier today (but after I posted) that my cousin Matthew Shear, SVP at St. Martin's Press, passed away. Our plans are in flux; all I know for sure is that we're headed into the city tomorrow to attend his funeral. I just got back from shopping for appropriate clothes. This isn't the way I'd hoped to spend my vacation, but it is absolutely the right--and terrible--thing to do. ::sigh::
