The weekend in a few key points

scarlettinaDrove down to Portland. Stayed with the delightful ![[livejournal.com profile]](https://www.dreamwidth.org/img/external/lj-userinfo.gif)
kateyule and davidlevine. Attended JayCon, jaylake's annual birthday extravaganza and had a marvelous time. (See pictures at Flickr.) Watched a little Sherlock with my hosts. Had a lovely Sunday brunch. Did a little shopping (bought interesting pasta, beads, and clothes). Headed back to Seattle having had a perfectly lovely time.
Went to bed last night at 11ish. Was awakened at 12:30 AM by police pounding on the downstairs neighbor's door making a "welfare call." I feel like a zombie this morning. In the last year, since these people moved in, I've been awakened in the middle of the night more often than in the last 12 years I've lived here. And I don't seem to have any recourse.
