Things accomplished

Here are the lists I posted today. What's been accomplished has been stricken out.
I still want to write about the following stuff:
* Doctor Who: The End of Time Part II
* Demons, a new supernatural series on BBCA
*My Portland visit so far
* More thoughts on the job search
* Book review/report on Ken Scholes' novel Lamentation
I had other goals for today, too, in no particular order:
*Get through a phone interview this afternoon.
*Start writing that story I'm supposed to have mostly finished by now.
*Take care of some stuff around the house here.
* Take a walk.
*Work out plans for this weekend.
* Work out some plans for my friend MW's visit this coming week.
*Finalize the menu for dinner tonight and go shopping.
The phone interview went well. In fact, it looks like I've got myself some substantial, if part time, work! More details anon, but I appear to be at least partially employed! Yay!

Date: Sat, Jan. 16th, 2010 05:55 am (UTC)I've watched the first two episodes of Demons, and I have the same problem with it that I had with Primeval, which is that it seems to have the logic level of Scooby Doo.
Plus Demons seems like Bizarro Buffy, with an American Watcher and a male and British Buffy... er, "Buff," I guess.
But it's somewhat interesting anyway. May watch a couple more when I don't feel like using my brain.

Date: Sun, Jan. 17th, 2010 03:52 am (UTC)Oh, pfooey! You said pretty much exactly what I was going to say! Well, when I post about it, I'll say it anyway. I am neither the first, nor last I'm sure, to point this out....

Date: Sun, Jan. 17th, 2010 05:57 am (UTC)But "Rupert" the American watcher, who "smites" instead of "slays," was pretty much the last giveaway for me.
Interested to see your take on it.
