We're celebrating over here at Chez
scarlettina. We've made history. It's an overwhelming moment, emotionally much bigger than I would have expected. I'm still flying. We did it, folks. We took back our nation in historic fashion.
I can't help thinking about the people I met in Kenya, all of whom were so pumped about Obama's candidacy. I'm gratified and proud that their hopes for our country have been realized.
As has been observed on other journals, McCain's concession speech was class from start to finish. Very gracious. Wish he'd behaved that way throughout his campaign.
Now, let's get to work.
