I think I've noted here before that Merlin, over the last 6 months or so, has started to twitch pretty violently in his sleep. Two days ago I noticed him actually running in his sleep as if galloping across the dreamscape. Well, right now, he's napping in a comfy patch of sun, Spanky snoozing nearby. Merlin's body suddenly shakes, a tremendous tremor, and Spanky startles awake. He watches Merl and when Merlin convulses again, Spanky leaps almost a foot off the floor. He lands and looks at Merlin as if to say, "Dude, what the hell?" then gets up and walks over to the water bowl.

Clearly, he needs a drink.
