One of the items we publish through the Web site where I work is a weekly digital photography column. The writer also runs a weekly photography contest. For a few weeks running, I submitted some of my Africa pictures, just on a whim.

We received and published today's column and what did I find out? I made runner-up! Go to this page and scroll down to the "Hot Pic of the Week" portion of the page.
