Report from the doctor

I am ill. (We knew this.) I'm ill enough to need medication and yet another day home from work. She gave me a note to provide to my supervisor.

I hate this.

On the other hand, she loves my sense of humor. So I guess there's an upside.

Me, I'm back to bed.

The doctor thinks it's some sort of bacterial thing. She asked me a lot of questions about past history with bronchitis, pneumonia and the like, of which I have none. I still have my tonsils and, as every doctor I've ever had has taken pleasure in telling me, they're huge (why is everything about size?) and healthy, but apparently they're a worry when it comes to the aforementioned illnesses. Anyway, she's given me Zithromax (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Azithromycin) (also known as azithromycin), which is an antibiotic. (She didn't give me penicillin because I'm allergic to it.) If you know anything about antibiotics then, without going into detail, you probably have some idea of why she wants me home tomorrow.

Man, I can't wait to get this thing out of my system.
