Learn one or two surprising things about me (or maybe not). Snurched from

1. Elaborate on your default icon.
It's an icon I picked up from an icon community. I chose it because it's possibly the prettiest icon I've ever seen and I like the animation.
2. What's your current relationship status?
Single
3. Ever have a near-death experience?
Nope.
4. Name an obvious quality you have.
I have dark hair.
5. What's the name of the song that's stuck in your head right now?
"Everything Possible"
6. Any celeb you would marry?
Not in this tabloid-drenched society, no.
7. Who will cut and paste this first?
At least a couple of people.
8. Has anyone ever said you look like a celebrity?
No
9. Do you wear a watch? What kind?
Sometimes I wear a Fossil watch with a mother-of-pearl face and a faceted crystal.
10. Do you have anything pierced?
My ears.
11. Do you have any tattoos?
No.
12. Do you like pain?
To quote

13. Do you like to shop?
Yes. :-)
14. What was the last thing you paid for with cash?
Groceries this afternoon.
15. What was the last thing you paid for with your credit card?
A friend's holiday gift.

17. What is on your desktop background?
The image rotates through about 30 different pictures. Right now, it's the standing stones at Callanias, Scotland.
18. What is the background on your cell phone?
Flowers from the supermarket in Ravenna.
19. Do you like redheads?
Sure.
20. Do you know any twins?
Yes.
21. Do you have any weird relatives?
My cousin Robert, who lives with more cats than any three people should.
22. What was the last movie you watched?
Gladiator, on cable.
23. What was the last book you read?
A freelance project I can't talk about.
24. Is there such a thing as love at first sight, or it is more likely to be "lust at first sight"?
Both.
25. What's your favourite book?
I don't wanna pick.
26. When was the last time you visited the street where you first lived?
Never. I first lived in Flushing somewhere.
27. When was the last time you googled your own name?
About a month ago.
28. What was/is your favourite subject at school?
English, history, astronomy.
29. What was/is your least favourite subject at school?
Math.
30. Do you like having your photograph taken?
Not as much as I used to.
31. What time were you born?
3:30 pm.
32. Ever seriously questioned your sanity?
Yes.
33. How many phone numbers do you have remembered and can say off the top of your head?
Three, including my own.
34. Can you Limbo?
Yeah.
35. Have you ever killed your own dinner?
Yes.
36. How long have you been living at your current residence?
Nine years or so.
37. What phobias do you have?
Intermittent and unpredictable fear of heights. I have mild discomfort on down escalators, probably related to the height issue.
38. What's your ideal breakfast?
Orange juice, scrambled eggs, english muffin. I'm a simple creature.
39. Where are you right now?
My living room couch.
40. Why do you blog?
Keep in touch with friends, mostly, and to occasionally trumpet My Own Damned Opinions, thank you very much.
41. What would you call your autobiography?
Kicking and Screaming
42. What's the longest time you've stayed out of the country/where?
About 24 days, same length of time spent both in the Middle East and then on the Kenya/England trip.
43. Do you use ICQ, AOL Buddy list etc..?
Occasionally (my writers group meets on AIM).
44. Do you have nightmares frequently?
No.
45. If you were another person, would you be friends with you?
Maybe.
46. Which TV character could you be friends with?
Margaret Houlihan (later seasons of MASH)

Probably my favorite GLBT-related song. I never got to sing it because we had an (expletive deleted) director who didn't like it (or anything else that was any good). (Bitter? ME???) I quote the lyrics all the time and the song still brings tears to my eyes.
