The scary thing is...she really believes this

Last night, on The Big Idea, Ann Coulter decided to tell the world what she really thinks about Jews. Apparently, we need to be "perfected." In the Gospel According to Coulter, Christians don't have to obey the laws of the Torah or their Bible because they've got the fast track to heaven. (That's almost an exact quote.) What makes it worse is that, when she tries to explain herself she makes it even worse. (If you watch the first video above, it will directly lead into the second video.)
And the scary thing is, she doesn't see anything questionable, curious, or offensive about what she's saying. There sits Donny Deutsch, the host of the show, saying to her, "You want me to stop being Jewish so I can be 'perfected' and you think that's okay? You're an educated woman. How can you say that?" And she just doesn't get it. There's a total disconnect between what she says she believes and the realistic extrapolation of her belief.
I've always thought she was a bigot. This is just one more argument in favor of same. But the clips have to be seen to be believed. Bigotry in action, delivered rationally, straight-faced, from a blond in a hideous dress.

Date: Fri, Oct. 12th, 2007 04:56 pm (UTC)Rev. Jeffery Lee (who is currently up for Bishop in another state) said something during a class I was taking from him, "I have no desire to make Jews into Christians. However, I think it would be good if we Christains were better Jews."
Even in the Christian Bible, St. Paul says that Christians are merely a branch grafted to the olive tree that is the Jewish Faith.
Although I'm afraid that since her name has been out of the headlines for a couple of months that this is just something to put her name back in the lime-light. I doubt she really cares about faith of any kind at all.
