A stowaway!

I heard a rustling sound from the direction of my suitcase. This is what I found:



The guilty cat butt

And when I opened the bag, the stowaway was found, red-handed! (Or red-pawed. Or white-pawed. Or...well, you know what I mean.)



What? What? We're going on a trip, right? So where else should I be? Stupid human!

I have a couple of friends coming in to take care of them. I never take them out of the house when I travel. It would be too much extra stress on top of y absence. They're old enough that I don't want there to be more upheaval than is absolutely necessary.

That's exactly what Daisy does when I pack and leave a suitcase lying around. No luggage is safe from her! (And she's a calico, so she can shed hairs that show up on everything!)

We call this the "Don't forget to pack the cat!" behavior. It appears to universal. Maybe cats are trying to tell us something?
