Up with the dawn...

...to get a good start on the day. Sunrise is spectacular: gold at the horizon, with alternating stripes of pink and purple clouds. The higher you look, the more blue sky peeks through each stripe. Just magnificent.

I guess there's something to be said for getting up this early after all!

"This early" ... when the sun is rising at 7:30? It is nice to be able to enjoy it without a ton of extra work, though!

Well, yes, okay. I got up at 6:55 and saw the sky looking absolutely amazing. I know--it's not like getting up at 5 AM. Still, for me these days, 7 AM is early. 7:30 is more my average right now.

I'm a slug-a-bed. What can I say.
