Got home around 3:30ish. Returned a couple of phone calls (there will be a tax refund, though not as big as we first thought), fed and cuddled the kitties, read a bit and, most importantly, napped. It must be real life again; I'm worried about doing my required job hunting for the week.
Chorus retreat (at Seabeck Conference Center; click the photo gallery link to get a glimpse of the place) was good; we got in some excellent rehearsing. Cleaned up a couple of pieces that really needed it. Somehowand perhaps this is because it wasn't all new to me this timeretreat didn't feel as extraordinary to me this year as it did last year. But Seabeck is still quite beautiful and restful. Wish I'd been able to soak in a little more of its remarkable peace. I didn't even get to spend any time sitting in the lovely rocking chairs on the porch of the main house, which I genuinely regret. Still, however, it was a delight to breathe in the rain-washed air, listen to the enthusiastic birdsong, admire the way the clouds settle in over the mountain peaks, and catch an eagle in flight along the canal. 'Tis 'nough, 'twill serve.

I feel worse now though. :(
*sigh*
