Random thoughts for a sunny Sunday
Sun, Oct. 4th, 2009 09:16 amIt's a sunny Sunday here in Seattle, and things at Chez
scarlettina are heating up. I have house tidying to do, love to bestow upon felines, and...all sorts of other stuff!
I guess I'm not being terribly articulate.
I'll be preparing new stuff for Etsy today, and probably doing a little painting.
This week I've got to buckle down and do more job hunting. I need to contact the Unemployment people and see if I have any benefit left, otherwise things become much more urgent than they feel right now.
I want to do more household purging. Seems like it's the thing to do when money is thin, though I can't tell you why. So much of what I purge is donated or traded in for other stuff. I haven't sold anything on eBay in a couple of years now.
I think Sophie's growth may have plateaued. She's petite but perfectly proportioned. She's also at that rambunctious stage, testing her physical abilities and her limits. She's broken two of my porcelain hands--which is more upsetting than I expected. I'll glue them the best I can (another project for today), but the hand collection is symbolic for me and Sophie's damaging two of them is distressing for a number of reasons. At the moment, Sophie is crouched over Spanky (who is sunbathing pretty placidly), cleaning him vigorously...because a white cat can't be clean enough, apparently.
So that's life here at my place.
