scarlettina: (Mad Spanky)
Took me two hours to get out the door today. All I wanted to do was take a walk, but the price of enjoying Seattle sunshine, rare commodity that it is, was to get some necessary stuff done around the house first. Not that hard, really, right?

So I finish the necessary stuff. I pull on some jeans, I grab my jacket and a hat and I head out, over to Greenlake with its wide swath of grass bordering the lake and its nearly three mile trail. I park the car, I start to cross the grass to the trail, I slip, twist my ankle, land on my ass and slide down the hill about ten feet. I'm covered with mud from my hips to my feet. My hands are black and my right leg hurts like a son of a bitch.

The clothes have just gone into the wash and the bathtub is filling. So much for my walk in the Seattle sunshine. Damn it.

...is how we learn that the bathtub stopper no longer works.

::sigh::
