scarlettina: (Have A Cookie)

Last night, seven of us girls (mostly writergrrls) organized by [livejournal.com profile] butterflydrming went to I Love Sushi for dinner and dish. I don't think I've ever seen quite so much sushi in one place at one time and I don't think we left a single piece—oh wait, we did, we left a single piece at the end of it all. I wouldn't be surprised if there were 100 pieces of sushi of various kinds on the table. And I don't think I've ever had a margarita quite so big (a blackberry margarita, to be precise). ([livejournal.com profile] ironymaiden described the drinks as "bigger than her head" and she wasn't far wrong; they were very impressive.) [livejournal.com profile] spazzychic lists the complete dinner order at her journal entry on the evening.

There was much gossip and much discussion of the trials of being writers. There was also, oddly, the suggestion that I ditch boys for girls and try a little girl-on-girl action. This idea, completely unsolicited, came from [livejournal.com profile] spazzychic who I suspect has been talking to my friend John, who's been making the same suggestion for several months now. I think it's a conspiracy. My track record speaks for itself. 'Nuff said. ::grin::

Thanks, flygirl, for making it happen. We all had a blast and I suspect the repercussions of the evening will be felt far and wide long after new year's eve.

Edit: Her Butterflyness has memorialized the evening in verse. Find it here.

Blackberry margarita! That sounds good. Weird, but good.

Sounds like great fun. Girl-on-girl, huh? Well, to pass on some wise advice given to me in the midst of heartbreak years ago, it does you no good to switch if you just keep picking up people with the same bad habits.

I won't be switching teams for any number of reasons, not the least of which is the truism you've quoted. But as I said: my track record pretty much speaks for me. ::grin::

Re: track record. I'm assuming you are sticking to your resolution the other night. At least I hope so since I believe I still have the last week in February in the pool. ::grin::

So far, yes. No plans to change that plan.

Has it become a pool? How many people have signed on? And how much money is riding upon my stalwart resolve? Enquiring minds want to know.

While I had a pretty frabjous evening myself, you're making me miss Seattle again, darnit! And this queer craving for sushi ...

Wow, images, images. Sushi and girl-on-girl. That's just way too easy.

Y'know, a little video and you'd have a whole second (third, fourth?) career there.

Scarlettina... girl on girl... lots of sushi...

This lovely post made my day. Yes, yes it did.

Count me in on that conspiracy (^_~)

Though I gotta admit, while men are jerks, women are just plain crazy, so I don't really think the grass is greener on that side of the fence. Just makes for even more interesting LJ banter...

Oh, and how do I join this pool that has been spoken of?

This lovely post made my day.

So glad I could cheer you up, dear.

As for the pool, well, speak to [livejournal.com profile] varina8. It's all her doing.
