A moment of holiday glee

Wednesday night, I received an Amazon box from my brother for Chanukah. It contained the boxed set of the Indiana Jones movies on CD (squeee!); a copy of "Behind the Veil," a book about life in a harem that I've wanted for, oh, years; and "Day I Forgot," the Pete Yorn disc from which the song "Crystal Village" comes, a song I've been playing obsessively ever since downloading it. I'm halfway through the disc and so far, I'm really, really digging it.

I am a happy scarlettina, yes, indeedy.

But the best thing about all of this is that Brother Mine is still slated to be getting airplane tix to come and visit me in February. I'm trying to contain my enthusiasm until he e-mails me his itinerary and it's a done deal, but a visit from him would be the best gift of all.
