The headline is "Linguist deconstructs meaning of 'dude'," but he doesn't, really. What he does is tell you how the word is used. Slightly different. Fun article, though, for the word geeks amongst us.

Exception to the rule: Husbands who watch ESPN with their wives while drinking large quantities of cheap beer. This I know first hand.
