I so hear you on number one! I've spent the morning sweating over a resume and am now cat-vacuuming rather than getting to the cover letter. Part of the problem is that this is a job I would really like and enjoy, and so it matters a lot. But skills testing stuff--bleah.

Good luck with the food. I tried Prilosec yesterday and my initial reaction was bleah...but this morning the gut is much happier, so I'm reconsidering. Cautiously. Still eating small amounts and am very paranoid about food. Yuck. At least I'm maintaining and not gaining or losing. Summer is my hard time for weight gain, though. I'm weird that way, but I'm also so much a PNW type that hot weather makes me wilt.

Driving issues are big up where you are because of the hills, rather like the West Hills are down here in PDX. Most western Oregon/Washington drivers really don't drive well in snow unless they came from other places where there's a lot of snow, and I've heard other folks say that a factor is also the type of snow we're prone to get, the gloppy wet slick stuff. And ice. Freezing rain courtesy of the Great Wind Tunnel of the Northwest (also known as the Columbia River Gorge) is one possibility here this week. If I have to go anywhere during that, chains go on the Subie. Period.
