Seattle makes a number of good arguments for my staying in the region. This photo is but one:

Very pretty.

Drool-worthy camera too, I see from the full-sized picture's photo information.

Ah yes.

I have some similar pictures (colors and all) of the Anderson Island ferry pulling out, taken from the back deck of my parents' house in Steilacoom.

There's a reason they're in my set of rotating desktop backgrounds.

One of the things I like best about living here is that you don't need to necessarily go anywhere special for jaw-dropping views.

"La la la, shopping at the Market. . . ooooh!" "Goin' to the video store to drop off my rentals. . . ooh!" "Going to the kitchen in my office for a soda. . . ooh!" etc.

Things To Do

(transportation wise) -

Aside from riding the SLUT which is free this month, there's also a "holiday" passenger ferry (http://www.wsdot.wa.gov/ferries/commuter_updates/index.cfm?fuseaction=press_releases_content&press_release_id=549) to Port Townsend.

I have some Seattle photos on display in my home here in Omaha, reminding me of where I usually would rather be.

::sigh:: It's like a long time love affair. Sometimes I get really tired of the attitude, but then I have moments likethe one above and I fall in love with the city all over again.

Off topic--Hello! This is Susan Grossman. May I add you to my friends list? I'd love to be staying in closer touch with you than just seeing you at a party once in a while.

The camera was a lifelong dream and an absolute requirement for Africa. I have yet to stretch it to its full capabilities, but it has already proven itself worth the purchase price and then some.

I'll have to remember that as an excuse to upgrade from a very good camera to a grossly expensive camera when we do our wildlife park safari.

Of course! Although my LJ is very prosaic, and I hardly ever talk about books and writing. I usually talk about my pets. I have a social chit-chat LJ, for the most part.
