Dreams

I dreamed two nights ago that I'd made a new friend who looked exactly like one of the authors I used to work with, someone with whom I keep in touch on Facebook. My mission, in the dream, became to get the author and the look-alike to meet because in the dream the author had always talked about having been adopted and having a long-lost twin. I did get them together. It was like watching Harpo and Lucy. (Note for the record: this author was not adopted and does not have a long-lost twin.)

Last night I dreamed that I suddenly had a baby, and I was spending time with friends comparing my baby with theirs as though we were comparing bad collections or coin collections or something. "Oooh look! Yours has blue eyes, but mine has brown eyes."

The mind is a curious thing.
