The products of an unrested mind
Tue, Dec. 4th, 2012 09:45 amOver on Facebook, a friend said:
In the course of the last 15 months, I seem to have lost all of my spoons... How does that happen? How does someone lose spoons?
I responded:
The spoon theif comes in the night and takes them one by one. He uses them to scoop up babies from their cribs and carry them away to the fairylands. The babies become creatures of light with gossamer wings and sharp, pointy teeth. The spoon turns to silver and becomes a fairy's lifelong weapon, a named and powerful thing used as a weapon against the darkness. But if a fairy loses its battle, the spoon disintegrates. The fairy changes and becomes a spoon theif, flitting off in the night seeking out spoons to help swell the ranks of fairy warriors . . .
Oh. That was more than you wanted to know, wasn't it? :-)
I got only about four hours of sleep last night. Does it show?
