New Weight Loss Milestone
Tue, Aug. 30th, 2011 06:57 pmLast week when I got back from my Weight Watchers meeting, I posted to Facebook (where I post every Tuesday night about my weight loss progress), and said, "I was up only a half pound... so this coming week [I have] a goal of losing that half-pound and another one for a matched set."
I worked really hard this week, tracking my food and getting back into my exercise regimen, and I did it. And I hit a round-number milestone.
This week I lost 1.8 pounds for a total of 40.6--YES! (That's four cats, more or less.)
My new goal is to lose another 20 pounds by the end of the year. That's 5 pounds per month, which is entirely doable. I just have to really stick with my program and be aware.
I should note, for the record, that this week included my going to restaurants a couple of times, eating ice cream and, one afternoon, gorging on popcorn. The trick is picking what I'm putting in my mouth carefully and just keeping up with the exercise. It's the only way this is going to keep happening. My promise to myself is that if I make my goal, I get a new black sweater, preferably cashmere--something soft and fetching and perfectly suited to my skin tone.
I start tonight.
