After a week that would try anyone's patience, I spent Saturday catching up on housekeeping. I took four shopping bags full of books to the University Bookstore and came away with nearly $100 in credit. I donated another bag of books to Goodwill. I prepped and put away the lovely batch of elongated coins that
jackwilliambell brought me from Australia; I still have many others to put away, but these were a priority. I did laundry and dishes. Isn't my life exciting? It was all actually very satisfying.

For being such a virtuous girl, I got to spend Sunday with Jack and his grandson R at Craven Farm in Snohomish, exploring their corn maze, poking around their pumpkin patch and, in general, enjoying a lovely autumn day.
Pics here. I came home with a sugar pumpkin for a seasonal decoration as well as a pair of seasonal dishtowels with black cats on them--also very satisfying as they were inexpensive but quite sweet.
So it was, all in all, a fine weekend. The week's begun with a decent Monday. Here's hoping it continues.
