Trivial matters: Burke Museum edition

Last night after dinner with jackwilliambell, I met my occasional trivia team (including oldmangrumpus and irrationalrobot for Burke Museum Pub Trivia at the College Inn in the U District. We named our team the Cardiff Giants (points for team name trivia!), eschewing our classic team name (Who's Your Daddy?) in favor of something more thematically appropriate for the evening.

Over hard cider, beer, and nachos, we fought the good fight, answering themed sets of questions that included (as irrationalrobot reports) rocks bands (bands with geological names), the new year (customs from around the world), collective pronouns (a romp of beavers, FTW...or, wait, was that a romp of otters...?), and so on. We came in, just shaved it, at third place, and for our trouble brought home museum passes. I can't wait to use mine!

Trivia question: How many collective nouns are there to describe a group of cats?

Answer: Way more than I thought.
