Shoulder report
Wed, Dec. 10th, 2008 11:24 amHaven't mentioned this in a while, mainly because it seemed to me that there's no purpose in whining--but now I have some actual news. As I've mentioned before, I injured my right shoulder in the most ridiculous fashion back in mid-August. In mid-September, I was diagnosed with a strained rotator cuff. Well, after months of pain and no real progress in the physical therapy department, I went back to the doctor this morning. Turns out that the rotator cuff has a slight--but not complete--tear. This, I'm told, is more painful and a little harder to treat than a full tear. And it's tiny! I saw the MRI. Amazing that such a small thing could cause so much pain. The doctor gave me a cortisone shot which, he says, will help, and he's given me a prescription for my PT that I'm to see her more often and that we treat this more aggressively. Maybe, finally, I'll get some relief. It's already feeling a little better. We Shall See.
