Clayton Fund report
Mon, Jul. 21st, 2008 10:25 amSeveral people have written to me privately about this, so I'm going to make a public post to keep folks informed.
At the end of June, I sent the Clayton Fund a package with all the donations I received as a result of the Jay Lake EC fund drive. The package was sent with tracking via Priority Mail and arrived within two days of posting. It then apparently sat unopened and unacknowledged on the desk of one of the funds' directors for more than a week. I queried the fund, asking about the status of the donation and was told it would be delivered to Jim Fiscus who would take care of its disposition.
Last week I wrote to Jim Fiscus asking why the checks hadn't yet been deposited. He said that he had a broken toe and wouldn't be able to get to the bank to make the deposit--so there the checks sit, still waiting to be deposited.
If anyone in the area can help Jim get to the bank to deposit these checks, I'd appreciate it. Beyond this, the disposition of the checks is out of my control. My apologies for the delay on the processing of the checks.
