Tonight's SIFF film was "A Wink and A Smile" about Seattle's burlesque community. Real review tomorrow--too tired tonight. Short version: Entertaining, pretty satisfying. With a little judicial editing, perfect.

The Spinal Tap Theories of Stonehenge

I love National Geographic. I love that they can poke fun at themselves and still provide both education and entertainment. My brother just sent me a link to "The Stonehenge Interviews" with Nigel Tuffnel of Spinal Tap. He's got the inside scoop on Stonehenge. Brilliant stuff. Go watch.

Harvey Korman

MSN TV News is reporting that Harvey Korman has passed away, 81 years old. Much more detail here.

Some of my earliest memories of TV include Korman's wonderful work on the Carol Burnett Show. I used to watch almost exclusively to see how long it would be before either he broke up over something Tim Conway did or vice versa. And the work still stands today as some of the funniest stuff ever aired.

Rest well, sir. If laughter's the best medicine, then you've helped heal the whole world.
