Tonight, after a fabulous evening out for sushi with The Girls (on which more anon), I drove home to discover that NPR was running L.A. Theater Works' presentation of "The War of the Worlds," as adapted by Howard Koch and first broadcast by Orson Welles (sp?). I ran into the house, settled down on the couch and listened to the production, starring Leonard Nimoy, Gates McFadden, Brent Spiner, John Delancie, Will Wheaton and many more. It's a terrific production and will be available here on the Web for the coming week. (It's not uploaded as of this writing—keep checking back.) If you have an hour, I highly recommend your giving this a listen. Wonderful fun.
