Autumn with a vengeance
Fri, Sep. 23rd, 2005 07:25 amOver the last week, the temperature hasn't risen above 70 degrees; in the evenings, it's been very, very cool. Cool enough so that my days of sleeping with the windows open are over. Night before last, I shut the windows; they're closed now for the season. I figure that in another week or two it will be time for me to switch my bedding from summer quilt to down comforter. Within another, oh, four weeks or so, it'll be time to switch my sheets from percale to either jersey or flannel.
I'm ready, I think, for the fall; I don't know that I'm ready for winter. One season at a time, I guess.
It's 7:38 AM as I write this. I've a purring cat on my lap. I don't want to start the day.
On the other hand, I get to see friends at Foolscap at the end of it all. Guess I should get in gear....
PSI would also like to say, just for the record, that I just love the GE ad that's been running lately on TV, the one with the elephant tap-dancing to "Singin' in the Rain." It just makes me grin every time I see it.
