Norwescon schedule
Fri, Mar. 18th, 2005 02:47 pmIt'll be a relatively slow convention programming-wise for me: two panels plus three workshops (workshops not listed since they're not open to the public) and at least one reception. Given the con fatigue I've been feeling I suppose this is okay. It'll leave more time for visiting and hangin' out.
I deliberately didn't sign up for the traditional publishing programming mainly because those are the programming items that have left me less than excited about being at cons lately. Well, that and other stuff. Here's where to find me:
Friday 5:00 PM-6:00 PM
These Characters Aren't Mine
A lot of aspiring authors spend a lot of time writing fan fictionstories about characters from favorite movies or TV series. Does this writing help or hinder their efforts to become professional authors? Does it give them the tools they need to become better writers?
Saturday 1:00 PM-3:00 PM
Fairwood Writers Workshop Reception
Welcoming folks to the workshop for the weekend; a chance to eat free food, chat, network and in general catch up.
Sunday, March 27, 2005 10:00 AM-11:00 AM
Online Journaling
Why do we live our private lives in public places? Are we merely emotional exhibitionists or are we continuing (in a different form) the venerable art of journaling? Sure, it's also a great way to network but what can journaling do for you? Or, to you? As more and more people do it everyday, is it turning into a problem?
Now, one of the reasons I go to conventions is to see people, so here's a poll with all sorts of questions and options about it. Answer up, people!
