Year ago, when everyone was having sex to Prince's Purple Rain, I was busy listening to "Darling Nikki" over and over again, thinking it was the coolest cut on the whole album...and no one seemed to appreciate it. While I was in Oregon, between bursts of writing, a couple of us starting burning and trading music. One of the guys included the Foo Fighters' version of "Darling Nikki"—and it's an excellent, amazing version. While surfing a little between bits of coding here at work, I found this terrific Washington Post article on the rediscovery and covering of this song. Makes me unreasonably pleased.
