Divestment begins
Sat, Nov. 29th, 2003 09:08 amWay back when I first moved to Seattle, I worked for Wizards of the Coast. By the time I was laid off, I had accumulated a huge hoard of Magic cards that I really had no use for. In a bitter fit, I threw them all into a box and still have most of them. They've long since lost most of their value. I've promised myself that I wouldn't let that happen with Product from The Company. That being the case, on Thursday I began to post stuff on eBay for sale. Two of the three things I've posted have bids on them and these auctions end tomorrow. On Tuesday, I'll be posting a lot more stuff, all to end next Saturday, in an effort to make space in my condo and storage unit. I will not let this stuff eat my personal space or my life. Part of this effort is to disconnect myself from the experience of The Company (and yes, I'm still sore from the whole lay-off); part of it is to supplement my nearly non-existent income. Some of the stuff I have will fetch pretty decent prices and I hope that it'll all go quickly. Fingers crossed.
