Jewish-themed smashed pennies
DO, whom I met at the ANA show, asked me if I'd post pictures of my collection of Jewish-themed elongated coins. They're relatively hard to find and I always snatch them up when I find them. Anyway, no point in only one person seeing them, so I thought I'd post a link to the photo-set so that anyone interested might get to see them, too.

Trek geek ahoy!
scarlettina -- Shea Stadium/the Mets have changed their machine from the penny machine (the ones I gave you last year) to a nickel machine which costs a dollar per squash. I'll look and see if they're different designs -- would you still like a set? It is the last year for Shea, after all.

I'll likely be doing a game next week. I'll do it then.

Further, I joined the penny-collector website, and discovered that a local restaurant I've been curious about has a penny press! So I'm, uh, considering dragging the spouse over there... partly for pancakes, but mostly for pennies.

Just discovered PennyCollector.com, did you? Great resource. Have you discovered The Elongated Collectors (http://www.tecnews.org) yet? Four newsletters a year plus anywhere from 8-12 free coins, too.
Just call me . . . pusher. ::grin::

I'd be willing to send you the 2 pennies for your collection if you don't have them. The quarter is one I bought on ebay a few years ago and I'm not willing to part with that. The scan didn't turn out very well because I didn't want to take it out of the holder. The picture is Nebuchanezzar with a crown on his head riding on the back of a lion. One side has Nebuchanezzar spelled out in regular letters and the other side has what I assume are Hebrew letters (if they're not I'd be interested in knowing what they are).
