Mary Travers, 72, of Peter, Paul and Mary, has passed on. Thanks for the music.

And Henry Gibson died today as well. My first acquaintance with him as an actor was on "Rowan & Martin's Laugh In." From then on, any time I saw him on TV, it was always a delight. Gentle and loopy all at once, he was one of the friendliest presences I can remember on TV during my childhood.

Heckuva week.

Of all the losses we've had recently, the loss of Mary is the closest I've come to tears. I grew up with their music. Thankfully, M and I attended a PP&M concert some years ago, so there are those memories.
