The Tuba Man

grubbstreet and the Seattle PI report that Seattle's beloved Tuba Man is dead as a result of injuries received in a mugging. My last memory of him is playing "My Sharona" on request, and making me and ironymaiden just giggle like crazy (that's when I took this picture). I hope they prosecute the perps to the fullest extent of the law, the bastards. They've reduced the overall joy quotient in Seattle by a significant degree.

Mr. McMichael, you'll be truly missed.

In Mountain View (CA), there's a guy who plays in good weather. He's not very good, but he's so much better than the alternative, and he always brings me joy.
