The Las Vegas Review Journal reports that the lease on the Star Trek
Experience at the Vegas Hilton ends in June and it looks as though it may
not be renewed, thus signalling the closing of the attraction.

My brother and I took our first trip together to see it about 6 months after it opened. He came out from NY, I traveled from Seattle, and we met in Vegas. We did the experience first thing after we arrived, and last thing before we left. A great trip together, and a great memory.

I raise a glass of tranya in tribute. It was fun while it lasted.

Not to be pedantic or anything, but according to the article, the lease ends in December ... a DECISION about the attraction's future will likely be made in June.

Darn. It was a VERY cool attraction. Both of 'em (Borg ride opened up a few years later). One more thing I can't do if I go to Vegas... rats. Quark's was fun too ;>.

Aaaaaaargh. We've wanted to see it but haven't.

Seems like odd timing, what with a Trek movie coming out soon...perhaps the word on the movie is so bad that Hilton wants out beforehand?

Well, skidspoppe (who does entertainment reporting in LV) says he's had word it's cloing New Year's Eve, not June, so there may yet be time.
