On the road again...

I need a roadtrip icon.

So this morning, somewhere around 10 AM, KA will turn up, having driven south from Vancouver, B.C. We'll hop in my car and head even souther to Portland, Oregon, where we'll split the cost of a fancy hotel room for one night, visit the Temple of All Books, meet friends for dinner, and then attend a photography seminar. I'm looking forward to it. Much to do today before she arrives, however.

Yesterday and the day before were filled with thoughts, memories, and conversations of dochyel. And it occurred to me that every time I see an article online that I want to send him or every time I think of something I want to ask him, in a way, our ongoing conversations about faith and the rest of life still go on. I just have to hold up my end of the conversation. Was it D. McCoy who said, "He's not really dead, if we remember him"?

Oh I'm so jealous! The temple of all books? I'm assuming you're talking about Powells. That is definitely my place of worship...say hi to all the books for me!

Have a great time! The cherries will be blooming along Naito Parkway. The books will be busting out all over in Powells. It will be mahvelous!

if it's the KA i think it is, she does not live in Vancouver. We are very particular about our cities. She's like 20 miles out of Vancouver :)
