Scene from the holiday season

I'm sitting on the bus going to work this morning (annoying, expensive story), going over my music for Sunday's show, when a man sits down in a seat across the aisle, takes out a looseleaf, and starts reviewing music himself. Turns out he's a former president of SLGC and is now singing with the Seattle Men's Chorus. Like me, he wasn't feeling 100% about knowing his music for heir opening night; bus time is good for that. Anyway, I was entertained.

Speaking of the Holidays...

The Albertsons by my house has He'Brew beer and Channukah dradel shaped suprise gift boxes next to silver Channukah Shekel shaped chocolates.

It's the insanity...and I'm going to get some to see what's up!

Hee! You make me want to drive out to Mercer Island just to get the treats.

It's some pretty serious stuff there!

You ... took the bus!!!???

Wow, I might be able to survive my trial after all.

Then again, maybe it's the end of the world.

Or, you know, my car might not have given me any choice. ::sigh::

Another holiday scene:

The Place: Balducci's, today.
Personae: Me, shopping for low-carb food.

Action: I'm sort of staring at the meat display, lots of salamis and sausages, and then various hams. And the hams' price signs have all been tagged with festive PERFECT FOR CHANUKAH banners. Which I blinked at for a couple of secs before realizing why this was so WRONG. But I decided just to laugh at it rather than interpret is as a major anti-semitic incident. But now I want to go back there with my camera and get a snapshot.
