A celebration I didn't expect

twilight2000's place for board games and good company. I arrived to find she, her family and a few friends--whom I expected--along with a little gift bag for me and a cake that said, in part, "Welcome Home [my name here]". When I asked what this was about, she told me that because I had decided to stay in Seattle rather than move to Denver, she was throwing me a little "Glad You're Not Moving" party rather than a "Going Away" party. I couldn't have been more delighted. The cake was chocolate on chocolate. In the gift bag was a candle that smells like apples and a box of four truffles. Though my hostess took ill in the course of the evening (and was missed), I enjoyed myself tremendously. Thank you, girl friend!
