I've been a casual fan of the TV show Mythbusters for quite a while. That changed a bit when I attended W00tstock last year and saw Adam Savage, the red-headed chatterbox of the Mythbusters team, live, and discovered that not only was he kinda hot, but that he's exactly the kind of brilliant, funny genius I find attractive (so many of which type I'm proud and pleased to call my friends). This morning, on a conference call for work, one of the women I work with mentioned that Savage had done a TED talk.

Now, if you don't already know about the TED Talks, then hie thee hence to www.ted.com and start perusing their archives. The TED talks are 15-minute slideshow lectures by the truly awesome. Savage's talk is about obsession, and I suspect almost all of my friends (especially my movie-loving friends,

oldmangrumpus, and
