I don't really have winter linens, and our seasons aren't marked enough to make it worthwhile to switch out summer and winter clothes (and anyway, I have nowhere else to keep them). I'm not dressing up for Halloween. As is usual for the first half of October, the weather here is actually pretty hot by afternoon, so turning on the heat in the house isn't even a consideration. And if I bought a pumpkin now, it would be completely rotten by the end of the month.
I have purchased apples recently, but they're just Fujis.
I did take my daughter to buy her Halloween costume ("Buccaneer Beauty"), though, and cut out fabric to make her a custom pirate sack to go with it, and took her and my son to the pumpkin patch to go on the giant inflatable slide on Sunday. And I'm thinking about winter knitting. Does that count?
