It's amazing how, in the space of a couple of days, you can go from feeling that what you've written is amazing and well-written and fun, to finding it totally unreadable, a hodge-podge of incongruous bits and pieces that have no business in the same story together, and completely unfit for publication.

I used to have the same feeling when I'd write fiction, although without so much of the amazing, well-written, and fun part.
