Report from the doctor

I am ill. (We knew this.) I'm ill enough to need medication and yet another day home from work. She gave me a note to provide to my supervisor.

I hate this.

On the other hand, she loves my sense of humor. So I guess there's an upside.

Me, I'm back to bed.

We should hang together the next time I'm ill. I'm a complete and utter baby when sick.

My problem when sick is that I don't want to bother anyone. And it's not the Jewish-mother-I'll-just-sit-here-in-the-corner sort of not bothering anyone. It's the I-can-take-care-of-myself-thank-you-very-much sort of not bothering anyone. This is why it was such a big deal that I called ironymaiden on Saturday night for help. I never call for help. And I never go to the doctor unless I feel utterly incapable of doing anything more than I already have. But as I said to the doctor today, once I become a patient, I'm very patient about being a patient, and I'm a good one and do what I'm told.

I am the worst patient evar(tm). Don't like meds, don't want water, don't wanna be bothered. Big ol' baby. Luckily I get the knockdown dragout only once (maybe twice) a year.
