Merlin report: Friday afternoon edition

Got voicemail from the vet. It seems Merlin's troubles aren't related to any imbalances in his system somehow. In fact, his kidney values are improved since his last visit, so I'm doing something right. But I'm still waiting for the vet's callback on whether or not he'll need the next panel of tests, any one of which--with a positive outcome--could mean there's something more seriously wrong. But once we know, we know. He ate pretty well this morning. I'm hoping to go home tonight to discover an empty food bowl. Fingers crossed.

I did a little net cruising during lunch and have some links. Will share them later, with thoughts on same.

This seems to be an extremely veterinarily challenging month for cats named Merlin! :/ Yours, bridget_coila's, and, well, mine. (He seemed to want to be named Merlin, but I refused; we compromised on 'Emrys' based on the character known in childhood as Myrddin Emrys in Mary Stewart's Arthurian novels.)

Surgery for mine next week, we think. *fret*

Hope is all OK with Merlin Kitty. I wish they could just talk, or do morse code or something. It'd be so much easier.
