Today is the first day...

Today is the first day of the new job. If it runs true to Microsoft form, I suspect I'll spend much of the day not doing much because my e-mail and computer accounts won't quite be set up yet. We shall see.

Had a lovely dinner last night at Lombardi's in Ballard with a varied crew: ironymaiden and her C, oldmangrumpus, holyoutlaw, juliebata, tbclone47, and varina8. Dining there is always a pleasure and I haven't done it in far too long. I had the wild mushroom ravioli in a red wine sauce with crisped onions on a bed of arugula, with mango sorbet for dessert. It was the yum!

Unfortunately, I didn't sleep very well. Merlin wasn't feeling well, so I was up for an hour around 2:30 AM keeping an eye on him. He seems fine now, but I'm feeling that lost hour. Ah well.

Okay, off to start the day. Wish me luck!
