The cool stuff you find with research

Green men, corn kings, Fisher Kings, The Lion King: all these themes are related according to a really nifty little paper I found while perusing the Web in search of information about the corn king. I buy the premise (at least on first glance). See what story research begets? Nifty stuff!

Great lines from movie reviews

Surely this is one that will live long after the film hits DVD. On Ralph Fiennes' performance as Voldemort in "Goblet of Fire," The New York Times says:

[Mr. Fiennes'] Voldemort may be the greatest screen performance ever delivered without the benefit of a nose.

This made me laugh out loud. The next sentence made me want to see the film even more than I already do:

Certainly it's a performance of sublime villainy.
