Here Comes the Sun
Doodin doo doo! Here comes the sun and I say, it's all right!
I know it'll be long months before the sun really returns to the Pacific Northwest, but at least we're over the solstice hump and the days will slowly get longer and lighter. It's been so dark the last couple of weeks; it's just been oppressive. I started yesterday hoping for sunshine and got some. The world didn't end, and I concluded the day with good food -- a homemade Mexican feast with friends.
Nine days until the end of 2012. With a couple of key exceptions (my Europe trip, my birthday), I can't say that I'm sorry to see 2012 out the door.
Mostly, at the moment, I'm savoring the long weekend ahead. Yes. Days off. Friends to be seen. Kitties to be cuddled. A fireplace to use. Yup. Good things all.
